Article: Creating new roles in healthcare

The nurse associate role is being introduced to improve the capacity and capability of the NHS to care for patients.  This article sums up the findings of a literature review on the introduction of the new role, using lessons learned from the past to provide guidance to leaders and workforce planners.  It notes the role of clinical educators is pivotal to the success of work-based learning.
